6.2 Email Placeholders

Placeholders are replaced with each card’s real details when the email is sent.

Available Placeholders

Placeholder	Replaced with
[giftcard_code]	The gift card code
[giftcard_value]	The card’s value, for example $50.00
[expiry_date]	The expiry date, or No Expiration
[sender_name]	The buyer’s name, or your site name if it’s empty
[receiver_name]	The recipient’s name, or Valued Customer if it’s empty
[receiver_email]	The recipient’s email address
[email_heading]	Your Email Heading text (use it in the subject or body)

How to Use a Placeholder

1. Go to GiftRocket → Settings → Email Settings.
2. Click a placeholder to copy it, or drag it into the subject, heading or body.
3. Click Save Settings.

Example subject:

[sender_name] sent you a [giftcard_value] gift card!
