GiftRocket reminds recipients before their card expires, so unused balances get spent instead of forgotten.
How Reminders Work
- A reminder is sent automatically about 7 days before a card’s expiry date.
- Only active cards with money left get a reminder, and each card gets one reminder.
- The email shows the remaining balance, the code, the expiry date and a Redeem Now at Checkout button.
There’s nothing to set up. Reminders work for any product with an expiry period (see 2.3). Cards with No Expiry never get a reminder.
Note: Reminders are checked every hour using WordPress cron. On low-traffic sites, set up a real server cron job so reminders go out on time (see 11.1).
